We are a group of business people, helping each other get better at what we do. A variety of professions, trades and main street service businesses — all are represented in Preferred Stock. We come together seeking a deeper understanding of our own and each other’s businesses — as well as the very reasons we are in business — so we can offer each other creative ideas for new products and services and better ways to serve our customers.
Our members are always on the lookout for new ideas and best practices to share. We meet as a group for breakfast once a week at 7:00 a.m., and there are always one-on-ones scheduled during the week to learn more about each other on a personal level. Each week we arrive prepared to re-introduce ourselves and describe what we offer those who do business with us. One member presents a more in-depth description of his or her work, success stories and goals and objectives for growing and improving. We look for strategic alliances among members, and ways to introduce our members to others who can benefit from their services.
OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM MEMBERS
Active participation within our group is the only way to “reap the rewards” of growing your business and helping others. We do expect our members to:
Attend our weekly meetings
Which sometimes includes short presentations.
Bring ideas of value from your specialty/experience
Take an active role in helping the group function
Have one-to-ones with each member of the group
to better know their business and the person
We leave every meeting and every interaction with some good ideas, perhaps a referral or two and always a renewed sense of purpose for our work.
OUR REFERRAL POLICY
As you can tell, we are not solely about referrals, but we definitely about referrals, plus offline and online targeted marketing techniques. We do not require a certain number of referrals or look to one-for-one reciprocity among members or even keep track of how many referrals a member gets or gives. Our members stay with the group because they find it improves their business from various aspects — from increased business from referrals, to improved marketing, to having trusted advisors. GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Preferred Stock strives to make our communities a better place to live, work and raise families. Preferred Stock is involved in many charitable and community events throughout the course of the year. We believe in giving back to the communities where so many of our businesses flourish. Many of us would not be successful if not from the support from the people in our area who use and buy our services and products. Our giving back to the community is just another way we all can say thank you to our patrons, customers and clients.
